Massa Marittima hosts the Regional Technical Table of Biological Districts
It took place at the Palazzo dell'Abbondanza in Massa Marittima, in an atmosphere of great participation and collaboration, the Regional Technical Table of Biological Districts of Tuscany
A fundamental appointment for the Tuscan organic world, which brought together representatives from all ten districts operating in the region to date: Fiesole, Val di Cecina, Calenzano, Montalbano, Chianti, Maremma Toscana, Colline della Pia, Valli Senesi, Valdarno di Sopra e Montecucco.
The meeting opened with institutional greetings from the Mayor of Massa Marittima, Irene Marconiwho emphasised that "our farms need all the support that only virtuous biodistrict networks can provide".. A message also shared by the Deputy Mayor of Gavorrano, Daniele Toniniwhich announced the imminent entry of the Municipality of Scarlino within the Pia Hills District, and thanked the leaders for their commitment Fabio Fabbri, Gianluca Barbieri and theregional councillor Stefania Saccardi.
Councillor Saccardi herself emphasised the importance of these moments of confrontation, clarifying that 'this is not just a twice-yearly fulfilment, but a concrete opportunity to give voice to the territories and strengthen the organic network in Tuscany'.
During the work of the table, each district had the opportunity to present its projects, draw attention to the many current challenges and indicate future prospects, in an atmosphere of listening and mutual exchange. The topics addressed ranged from environmental sustainability to the increasingly central role of organic farming as an engine for territorial and social development.
For the District Colline della Piawas a valuable opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to building a sustainable agricultural and community model based on cooperation between institutions, producers and citizens.
