Record-breaking fourth edition of the Bio Bike Tour
The fourth edition of the Bio Bike Tour recently ended, and it was a record edition, with more than 300 participants and visitors!
This event proved to be an extraordinary experience for those who love to discover the area in a sustainable way, cycling through unique landscapes and organic farms that represent the beating heart of our Bio District.
Two days full of emotions, encounters and new stimuli. Among the most appreciated novelties of this edition were the new events inserted along the route: tastings of typical products such as tortello maremmano (Maremma tortello), shows that allowed participants to discover the history and traditions of our territory, such as the butteri, the Maggerini songs, and the representation of the story of Pia dei Tolomei. Not only that, there were also important moments of discussion with organic producers, who opened the doors of their farms to tell the value of their daily work.
Crucial was the presence of the association ASD Amici2Ruote Gavorranowho led the group along the selected routes combining sport, safety and community spirit at each stage.
Heartfelt thanks go to all the participants, whose enthusiasm made the initiative even more lively and meaningful. The large turnout and active participation demonstrated how strong the interest is in a model of slow tourism, attentive to the environment and capable of enhancing local excellence.
The success of the event was also possible thanks to the invaluable collaboration of the Municipalities of Gavorrano, Massa Marittima and Roccastradaof the Province of Grosseto and the Tuscany Regionwho believed in the project and contributed to its realisation.
The Bio Bike Tour is not just a bike ride: it is an invitation to get to know our territory in an authentic way, through the slow rhythm of the bike and the direct story of those who work every day for a fairer, healthier and more sustainable agriculture.
