The Podere Cigli di Casteani is a fascinating example of how Sicilian agricultural traditions have been perfectly integrated with the Maremma terroir. The Cigli family, now in its fourth generation of winegrowers, has developed an estate that embraces biodiversity in all its forms. Their production ranges from the fine wines of the DOC Monteregio di Massa Marittima, such as the renowned Poggiocrocco, to a variety of products that bear witness to a deep bond with the land: ancient cereals such as Senatore Cappelli, Khorasan and Verna, transformed into artisanal flours and pastas, traditional legumes such as the nostrale chickpea and the black chickpea, and a superior quality extra virgin olive oil.
