A day at the oil mill: Gavoror students discover the world of oil.

The outreach programme promoted by the Bio District to bring new generations closer to organic culture and the world of agriculture ended with great success on Monday 3 June, with the educational visit of the Gavorrano middle school at San Luigi oil mill in Caldana.

During the day, the students were able to closely observe all stages of extra virgin olive oil production, from the olive to the finished product. It was a valuable opportunity to learn more about fundamental topics such as the short supply chain, environmental sustainability and the importance of agricultural work in our region.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Luigi Sabatini, who with great passion led the students on an interactive and engaging tour, making the visit an educational and memorable experience.

Thanks also to the headmaster and all the teachers of the Gavorrano middle school, whose enthusiasm helped make this beautiful synergy between school and local community possible.

Our commitment to the promotion of organic farming does not stop here: we are already at work planning activities for the next school year, with the aim of continuing to spread knowledge and awareness of our territory.
